First - some tips to start build a squad
First post, let start… Now I have a well formed squad, with many players and options to try. Fifa 14 gave us a great new when decided to vanish the formation cards. It helps players like me to try and find formation that is best for my own style. Before that it was to expensive to change formations.
But how to find a good squad and how to get coins to buy the players you want to try? You can find many tips and tutorials over internet and I´m not here to try to be writing the same of them, they are great and you should read. But... There are points I never read at them, and there are some tips that were important to me. Let me show some (during blog writing I will update them):
- Try to avoid spend coins in consumables: Contract are cheap now (200 - 250 coins for gold regular contracts), but it still being a coins loss. Try to use your coins to buy some managers with "negotiations percent". They can make yours contracts up to 50% more effective. For example, I get 42 matches for a single contract card (gold).
- Start playing with a simple squad: There is no point to spent all yours coins in high overall player if the other 10 players are really weak. Buy regular players, not expensive ones.
- Start building a squad by the defense: If you are not good, defense is the best way to get points and coins. There is no point to score one goal and leave your opponent to score 5 or more. Prefer to use your coins to buy a better center back or a average and tall Goalkeeper.
- Start playing offline games: Tournaments or season, it does not matter, but if your are building your squad, playing online isn't helpful. It take much more time to each match (it´s easy to find players that love to watch all introductions, read the referee name, watch every replay, stop match to change formation, and more). Okay, online matches give a better coins return, but if you don´t have a good squad or enough time to spent, go for offline.
- Play against team of week: It´s a good way to get coins. Playing against TOW gives you a great return for a single match. You can play always in Ultimate (chemistry are normally low for TOW and helps us to win) and get a 1000 coins plus some coins.
- Play offline season and lose some matches: Being relegated at offline season is a good way to get coins. It is better them win tournaments and much "quicker". To get an idea, after get to division 1, if you start to being relegated till div 9, you would get around 25k coins (if playing ultimate for all divisions). It is a good way to get coins. You are starting to build your squad and need coins. Remember that you spend contracts to be relegated. You cannot forfeit the season, but play and lose (or forfeit) all games till being under the hold points.
- Use a defensive formation: If you are building your squad now, starts using a more defensive formation to avoid concede many goals. You don´t need to go for a 5-*-*-* formation, but using a 3-*-* formation isn´t good at all.
